Kallmeyer on Madison, dancing at three guys, a sleepover, and mushrooms with cheese in LA.
Plus the perfect tee and a new game changing supplement.
Man I’m in the mood to go out. And dance. A couple Thursdays ago I got the opportunity at the Kallmeyer Madison Store opening night party. The store is gorgeous and the crowd was dare I say better. I’m in a phase where I’m tired of quiet parties with perfect beautiful table scapes - I want loud and wild and a little bit messy tbh.
The store opening had handfuls of people spilling out on to the sidewalk, smoking and laughing. Inside Daniella was glowing under the perfect lighting of her jewelbox of a new boutique.

Caroline, Laura, Tommy and so many of my favorites giggled our way down to a transformed Three Guys (an upper east side dinner institution or so I’m told). The DJ was already going, which I loved, and there was a tower of martinis. Coco*, Ashley*, Kiane and I squished into a little booth and snacked on fries and burgers. And then we got to dance a bit before calling it a night.
It was too late to go back to the Hamptons so I crashed at Kiane’s like I was 20 again. Lucky me I got a Sold Out tee to wear home (Kiane is the founder). They are just the best t-shirts. They’re so perfect it’s kinda wild. I immediately ordered 2 more in white and another in black. I wash them, line dry and then iron them and they just pull everything together. I love wearing them with jeans or a skirt and heels.
Outfit: Sold Out Tee, Another Tomorrow skirt, The Row Bare Sandals, Briony Raymond Estate necklace.
I actually wore one with these pants on the plane to LA last week and went straight to a meeting just fine. I spent 3 days there and it always takes me a minute to get in the groove, and then right when I do, it’s time to go home.
Like usual, I stayed at Sunset Tower because it’s just so convenient, but I was pretty disappointed by the food if I’m honest. Luckily Estee look me to e.baldi and introduced me to a truly excellent appetizer: a simple mushrooms and pecorino cheese situation that blows your mind. And then when I got back to my room I snacked on a slice of Estee’s banana bread slathered in cream cheese frosting which was fabulous. She has a new shop in Brentwood which is a must stop if you’re driving by.
My schedule was packed. I like to leave not a single moment open since I’m away from the fam, which is becoming harder and harder as the girls get older. I try to be as productive as I can but I did have a few minutes to pop down to Melrose Place to visit my favorite spots. Caroline and I got matching piercings at Maria Tash, Michael showed me some of his favorite new scents, and of course I had to pop into The Row to see the California selection (architecturally my favorite location).
I did feel like I did a good job packing. I got the Rimowa Cabin Plus which has just enough extra room that really makes a difference. I packed lots of white, cream, black, grey and navy, and one statement blazer - and plan on doing the same for Milan next week because it made getting ready so easy.
Last but not least, a friend introduced me to a new supplement that helps your body absorb up to 2x the protein you eat. Seriously I’ve been taking it daily before my most protein heavy meal and um, wow. I noticed immediately that I’m less hungry and my blood sugar is more stable - it launches in June but I already asked for more samples.
xx
Until next time.
